China Southern Airlines is a full service airline based in both Beijing Capital Intl Airport and Guangzhou Baiyun Intl Airport. It is the sixth largest carrier in the world for passengers carried. For some reason wasn't permitted to use my phone on the flight, even though it was in flight mode. Cabin staff weren't able to satisfactorily explain why they enforce this rule when other airlines have no problem with it. Pretty disappointing.
